Two clinicians, one practice.

The Therapy Lounge was founded by two friends who wanted to build the practice they would want for the people they love. We are licensed in New Jersey and New York, work entirely online, and bring different but complementary approaches to the work.

We are not a clinic. We are a practice of two. Every client at The Therapy Lounge works directly with Alexa or Angelika — not a rotating team. The free 15-minute consult is the simplest way to feel out which of us is the better fit for what you are working with.

Angelika Rozin, LMHC, LPC

Angelika Rozin, LMHC, LPC

Licensed Mental Health Counselor · Licensed Professional Counselor · NJ & NY

Angelika is dually licensed as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in New Jersey. She brings an integrative, relational approach to her clinical work, drawing from established evidence-based frameworks and adjusting to what each client needs.

Her practice spans individual psychotherapy, couples work, family therapy, and perinatal support. She is particularly drawn to working with clients navigating major life transitions and the relational dynamics that get reshaped along the way.

Alexa Francolino, LCSW

Alexa Francolino, LCSW

Licensed Clinical Social Worker · Certified yoga and somatic educator · NJ & NY

Alexa brings a warm, body-aware presence to her clinical work. She holds licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in both New Jersey and New York, and additional certification as a yoga and somatic educator. Her practice integrates traditional talk therapy with body-based, nervous-system-aware approaches — particularly for clients navigating anxiety, trauma, perinatal experiences, and the kind of long-running stress that talk alone doesn’t fully reach.

Alexa also offers wellness sessions — one-on-one yoga, meditation, and somatic practice work — for clients who want body-based practice alongside, or instead of, clinical therapy.

How we decide together

Many clients come in not knowing which of us they want to work with. That is fine. The free 15-minute consult call is partly for that. We will talk through what you are working with, and based on the conversation, we will recommend who is the right fit. If after a session or two something is not clicking, switching is straightforward.

We do not see one partner from a couples-therapy case for individual work, and we don’t take family-therapy cases where one of us is already seeing a member individually. Maintaining clear roles protects the integrity of every relationship.

Frequently asked questions

  • How do you decide who to assign to a new client?

On the consult call, we talk through what you are working with and the kinds of approaches that have or have not helped you in the past. Sometimes the choice is clear. Sometimes either of us could work. We will give you our honest recommendation and let you decide.

  • Can I switch from one of you to the other?

Yes. If after a session or two something is not clicking, transferring to the other clinician is straightforward. The goal is your care, not who you started with.

  • Do you take new clients?

Availability varies. Reach out and we will tell you honestly whether we have current availability or whether we need to put you on a brief waitlist.

  • Do you work with people outside NJ and NY?

Our licensure covers New Jersey and New York. By state law, we can only see clients who are physically located in one of those two states during sessions. If you split time between states, that is fine — we just check in about location at the start of each session.
